The National Patrol Camp held once every two years would be held this year during the end-of-year vacation. The Camp would be a 5-day event with many competitions each day on all the different set of scouting skills such as First Aid, Backwoodsman, Pioneering and much more.
Our Scout Unit clinched the Gold Award in the Year 2009 and we would strive to better ourselves in 2011.
All Scouts are welcomed to come forth to join the NPC Trainee Team for this exciting Camp where you will be making new friends while competing in a myriad of activities. Do note that some training sessions would be conducted over the mid-year vacations and on selected Saturdays during term time. Attendance is essential for selection into NPC Team 2011.
The finalized team would be selected after all preliminary trainings have been conducted and selection would be under the discretion of the NPC Training Team.
Scouts who are interested are to inform Seng En by the 8th of April 2011. No late entries would be accepted.

St Margaret's Campfire
1) Take note that St Margaret's Campfire fall in time has changed.
Attire is Full Scout Uniform (without beret)
All Scouts are to fall in outside the Den at 1745 hrs (5:45 pm) and not 6:15pm. Please have your dinner beforehand and bring along your water bottle.
Spread message around so that all scouts are aware of the update.
Sec 3s scout are to take note PLCM has been change to 3:30 pm.
Make sure that we win the MOST ENTHU AWARD this time as it is confirmed that there will be one.
2) The chatbox at the side is for scouts to ask questions, not for spamming and posting some improper content. I have seen some of you post improper content and not using your real name. Those who still continue this act will be referred to Seng En.

Lastly, I would like to add that although we do not win the campcraft competition, remember that we have tried our best. That is more important than winning a competition. 28 January 2011 meeting (Friday)
As all of you should know, every Friday we would need to wear Full Scout Uniform. :D
Details:
1415-1445: Ceremony
1445-1700: Footdrill
1700-1730: Ceremony
1730 hrs : Dismissal (tentative)
Sew all your badge and make it in top fit condition. DO NOT fold your uniform and stuff it into your bag. Rather try to buy a Uniform cover and cover it. In this way it looks more presentable and you should be proud of being a SCOUT!!!
I know many of you might think footdrill is tough, but think of it in another way. Footdrill allow you to wear your uniform. So you can be proud of it and march smartly. Another factor is that we could save time on changing clothes to PT kit etc. This way you only need to bring one set of the Scout uniform, and no need to change at all. Moral of this paragraph is to be....POSITIVE!!
So come down tomorrow as the sec 1s will be joining us tomorrow also. Bond with the sec 1s and get to know them....some facts about the new sec1 s. They are Justin, Javier and Bay....so get to know them and form brotherhood bond like what we scouting have also been emphasizing. :D

Scout Meeting on 14/01/2011
Ok scouts of patrol 5, here are the details for tmr's meeting.
Fall in: Scout den
Attire: FSU(Full scout uniform), PT kit is not needed.
2.15-2.45 Admin/ Random stuffs + Opening ceremony
2.45-5.30 Foot drill
5.30-6.00 Closing ceremony
6.00 - ... Dismissal
We would be having the sec 1 join us real soon so pls be on your BEST BEHAVIOUR. Discipline is to go up up up. (You get it.) Pls exhibit qualities of a leader (esp. for the sec2's). SHOW them how MSHS Phantom scout troop is like. SHOW them how SWIFT PATROL is like.

6th January 2010 Meeting (thursday)
As most of you know by now, there is meeting tomorrow as we scouts are organizing a campfire for the Secondary 1's orientation camp tomorrow. So as to prepare and get ready the campfire here are the details
Attire: FULL SCOUT UNIFORM, bring along PT kit 1
Songleaders fall in at primary School Parade Square: 1730 hrs
The rest fall in at primary School Parade Square: 1845 hrs
Please have your dinner beforehand and rest well, as there will be meeting on Friday and Saturday:
Friday: 1415hrs-1830hrs
Attire: PT kit
Saturday (CCA Maze): 0700 hrs- 1500 hrs
Attire: Full Scout Uniform and Unit Shirt
Bring along Berets

Also there will also be meeting on Friday and Saturday as Saturday is CCA maze day. Details would be given tomorrow, but for Saturday it should start at 7am and end about 2pm. So BE PREPARED!!!
I know it is the start of the school term and many of you are busy, but i really hope you would come as it is compulsory and you can gain quite a lot of experience from this event (campfire, CCA maze). So do get some rest and get ready for the busy week ahead
