3 september 2010 meeting ( Friday)

HELLO!!! Although there is no meeting this wednesday :(( but there is on Friday!!! :D yeah!!! hahaha. The same question, what activity would YOU want??? Since we did backwoodsman on friday, we should do something else....eg.Parang Axe Knife, Pioneering, exploration, knotting.

Another thing, I would like to thank all those who came to the YMCA flag day yesterday. It was a very fun and meaningful event. All your hard work will benefit the beneficiaries of YMCA.

Cos, if you noe a lot about BMW, then we can have more of practical. YAY!!! ***Rmb most important part of BMW is pg. 41-42 and pg 78. Ok peoplez, tmr be prepared for some AWESOME activity. 25 August 2010 meeting (wednesday)

Hi...again lol...

What would you like to have for wednesday meeting? Games, pioneering, backwoodsman, PAK etc. This activity should be fun as to celebrate the end of CA2 :DD, so i would like to hear your opinions on the activity.

My opinion : Pioneering on non-standard structure (anything you wan to build) :DD

Youth Olympic Games

What's in, What's up? YOG is so close... So what are we gonna wear? Ok people, we'll wear the YOG T-shirt we just received today (2 in fact) and PE pants, scout socks and Black Shoes (preferably scout shoes, anyway no white socks pls!!) Yay.....! So we're not missing any exams and I hope you are pulling up your socks and start to mug for your CA2 exams. This saturdays YOG thing is compulsory as it is a mass rehearsal. This is your PL here and good luck for your exams don't fail any subjects. Lastly, most of you (me included) owe me 50 pushups or more. We'll find a day to clear it. Muahahaha..(evil laugh)

14 August 2010 meeting( Saturday)

Hi!!...There is no meeting on friday but there is meeting on Saturday. It is bout the YOG, so all those going MUST come for this rehearsal.

Another Update...lol

Ok, please inform all those going to YOG to come TOMORROW! Attire is PT kit, Advised not to bring your macbook. Dismissal is from there at maybe 6 depending on crowd conditions. SPREAD TO EVERYONE, thanks a lot.

Next, Patrol camp. Although i have heard feedback from 3 people, but is not enough, so i hope more of you would give your feedback soon as planning a camp needs time. Also ask your parents whether they allow you to go for the patrol camp. I need to know the amount of people who can go before planning. For a 3D1N : 7,8,9 september, for a 2D1N: 7,8 september/ 8,9 september.Please keep these days free. The total amount of people going would be our patrol, including me and maybe a few more seniors. Tell me whether your parents allows by this friday, wednesday would be even better. :D. Any questions, you can just call me or sms be or msn me or facebook me. :D

11 August meeting (wednesday)

Hi!! for wednesday meeting, we would be going to collect our YOG stuff at kay siang street. It is the last day to collect your uniform and passes if not we cannot go YOG. SO THOSE GOING YOG IT IS A MUST COME!!!!

We will be dismissed from there. (depending on the crowd, Estimated time should be 6 pm)

Another thing, I would like to organize a patrol camp during the september holidays. The objective is for all of you to pass many of your SS and probably ASS components and you can get your standard and also to give the sec 1 a scouting camping experience like overnight camping in the 6 men tent, and also NIGHT WALK!!!!! WOO!!!! is really super duper fun but i need your opinions whether you would like to have a camp and when are you free during the 1 week of holiday. It should be a 2 day 1 night camp or 3day 2 night. It should be during the weekdays, so please tell me your opinions. Thanks :DD

Lastly, i hope whenever you never come for meeting, please take the initiative to tell us the reason, so it will make things easier for Liang Xiang and me. Thanks alot.

There is meeting tomorrow. Main objective is to complete one of the proficiency badges requirement if not 15 pushup ( set by SPL), so please do like it is one of your homework.

Reminder

Alright, firstly i would like to wish good luck for your knotting test ( hopping all of you pass!!!) and please remember to give your record booklets to Eric sir to sign, if not is invalid. Some of you still have not have your record booklet, i would try to give you by this friday meeting.

Next, Please do your proficiency badge thingy( at least 1 by Mr LOW) by this friday. Then you will get a BADGE!!!!!! yeah!!!

Thirdly, patrol fund. Please summit $2 to yi kai by next Tuesday, either by finding him in class, 1F, or he find you, or at the most find me at 2G , i will be there by 7. If some of you are wondering, the patrol fund will be used to subsidy for the patrol shirt, patrol outing, etc. If by the end of this year, there is remainders, we would think of a way to use it , like going for a meal etc. So....please hand up. Thank you

And also, PATROL SHIRT DESIGN, nobody has handed up yet.....so i will be designing and bring during friday meeting for all of you to improvised.

Lastly, I still see some of you fidgeting during fall in. I hope you will overcome this bad habit as others when they see you, it would not be leaving a good impression of scouts. One way to overcome is to not move during morning assembly. :D

1415-1430 : PIC

1430-1530 : Knotting test

1530-1630: Footdrill

1630-1730: PT

1730-1800: PIC and dismissal

The knots to be tested for SS is

-Alphine butterfly: Non slip hood

-Marlin spike: Slip hood

-Sheepshank: To shorten or isolate a damage part

-Figure of Eight: Thumb knots

-Guyline hitch : To be tied on flag pole

-Timber hitch : Starting knot of a diagonal lashing

-Rolling hitch : To tie 2 spars together

Please revise on both theory and practical

PS : I may have forgotten about some knots, so please read your Training manual.

3 august outing (tuesday)

Alright, tomorrow we would be going to the army market for those who have not bought their footdrill boots. You might also want to buy your groundsheet, poncho etc as next time you will surely need it.

I would also like to do revision with all of you as some of you are still not sure about your knotting and the knotting test is coming this wednesday.

Some of you have ICAS , I also have, so we will meet at 3:30 pm at the CANTEEN. For 30 minutes we will revise before heading to army market at 4. The whole trip (going there and coming back ) should be 1+ hour (max is 1.5 hour.)

Those buying footdrill boots bring $30

Those buying footdrill boots and other stuff please bring $50 at least

Those just buying the other stuff bring $30.

Those going are Sheng Hui, Brandon, Darrell, Yi Kai

If you want to go but name is not there please inform me, and those who decided not to go already PLEASE inform me.
