Hi.....today many of you did not come, but we still have the highest attendance today! 3 cheers man. Some of you told me that i informed you too late, however i posted the info yesterday before 4, which is the standard time( in one of the previous post, i said check the blog after 4 every day before the meeting day). I send all of you the sms is because i scared that you did not check the blog.

The reason why we created the blog is to make communication easier as some of you has no phone. Secondly, Me and liang xiang can reduce the number of sms we sent as during the june holiday, I overshoot by 100+ messages!!! That is why we have the blog.

Lastly, I would organize a outing for those who did not buy their footdrill boots. Sorry for the SUPER long delay.

30 July meeting (Friday)

There is meeting on friday, tomorrow. Though is founder's day celebration, sadly. But i still hope all of you will turn.

GREAT WORK today guys!!!! Building pioneering is much much much better than war games or any games because of the satisfaction....and GREAT sense of achievement...WELL DONE!!! I AM PROUD TO BE IN PATROL 5....don't all of you??...:D

Anyway...though today was a big success, i believe in future we can build even bigger and more awesome structure. :D Another thing to take note, Building a quadrapod with 6 people should be done less than 20 mins.....as normal standard, but....All of you did well as this was your first time building such a big structure. :D Today we took 1 plus hour just to build, not a very good number but can be improved. Next time maybe we will try to build a tripod, which is easier and important part in order to pass your SS pioneering. FYI tripod has to be done by 6 people under 10 minutes......I believe you can do it!!! :DD

Alright, donation draw. Tomorrow is the deadline for the donation draw ticket submission. Cyrus and Julius, you are the few who have not handed up. Please do so tomorrow. By hook or by crook.

Meeting on friday. I am still not sure whether there is meeting on friday, but BE PREPARED!! If there is no meeting, i would like to bring the remaining few to buy the footdrill boots. Sorry for the long delay. If there is meeting on friday, we would be doing PAK ( Parang Axe Knife). :D

This is very important. For those who have yet to hand in their donation draw tickets, please remember to hand it in on TUESDAY(27/7/10)! Dateline cannot be dragged further. Please pass your donation draw tickets to me at my class 3A. When you hand in your tickets, please have a plastic wrapper to contain your tickets and money. Pls write the following on the back of your tickets (just write on one of them will do).

Yi kai please bring the scout fund that day to collect the remainders and give Wei Yang $10 for the first aid kit.

Another thing, please please revise on your knottings, check your manual book for the knots. Those who need revision please tell me as maybe i will stay back on Tuesday to revise with all of you (bumper) :D

Lastly, some of you have not bought your footdrill boots yet, i know I dragged for very long, so i apologize, maybe this thursday at 3 ? tell me if can.

Attire is FSU with footdrill boots and bring along your PT kit and scout shoes.

For the footdrill part i will tell all of you by tomorrow 2pm.

I know is tough brining 2 shoes but please try to come. Your presence is deeply appreciated.

16 july meeting

As all of you should know by now, every friday you would need to bring Full Scout Uniform and PT Kit . Bring it in a uniform cover for FSU(compulsory but if don't have, then never mind). You would NOT need to bring footdrill boots. Here is the meeting schedule

1415-1430 : PIC

1430-1500 : Flag ceremony

1500-1700 : Backwoodsman and games

1700-1750: Closing ceremony

1750-1800 : PIC/Debrief/Donation draw collection/ DISMISSED

Those who have not give their donation draw ticket please bring tomorrow.

And also those who can help in the building of the flagpole please help as one of our scout promises is to help each other.

Lastly the past few attendance for wednesday meeting has been very good, but for friday meeting attendance can be improved. I know it is tough to bring your uniform to school on friday but in one of our scout promise is to do your best. so thank you and KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK!!! :D

Footdrill commands

In case some of you until now are still blur, i shall type out the footdrill commands and movement.

Sedi-a - attention (all should know)

Timing: UP

Senang Di-Ri- At ease (all should know too)

Sizing drill

Yang tinggi ke-kakan, redah ke-kiri, dalam satu barisan-Paras : turn to your right, march off like keluar parris, move to one line, tallest on the right, shortest on the left

Timing: TURN CHECK, CHECK LEFT RIGHT LEFT *bang 5 4 3 2 1 SQUAD DIAM

Dari kanan dalam satu bilang : the tallest person shout SATU! the next person say DUA! and SATU DUA...until the last guy who example say DUA! SIR!

Nombor ganjil satu langkah ke hadapan Nombor genap satu langkah ke belakang gerak : those who say satu move one step in front, those who say dua move one step behind.

Timing: SATU

Orang yang di sebelah kanan diam, Barisan hadapan ke kanan pusing, Barisan belakang ke kiri pusing, kanan dan kiri PU-SING : The row in front turn right,except for the tallest scout. row at the back turn left.

Timing: TURN CHECK

Jadikan tiga barisan chepat JA-LAN : both ranks to march in the direction they are facing to and form 3 ranks (depend on commander, if is dua barisan then form 2 ranks) . the last guy of each row is to say TURN, the whole column will turn left, then say UP, senang di ri.

Timing: LEFT RIGHT LEFT.... onli for the last guy

I believe most of you have already accepted the job offer. To those who never, better hurry up to your email that you gave to me( if you forgot, at the previous posts, there is the email) and go to the YOG portal and accept the job offer by 12 JULY!!! Next monday.

Meeting Schedule for 14/7/10 ( WEDNESDAY)

There is meeting on wednesday (14/7/10). So we are going to do footdrill and games. Practice your footdrill before attending this meeting so that we can move on. Yep. We would be wearing PT kit 1 for footdrill (gd news for u all). If possible I'll like to touch a bit on first aid. Lastly, scouts, pls do our patrol shirt design. If not we can't get things going and nobody's going have a patrol shirt. So try to squeeze some time and do the design. That's All For Now, folks.

Scout Meeting on 9 July (friday)

Hi...there is meeting tomorrow.

Please bring your Full Scout Uniform, both footdrill boots and scout shoes

-For those who have not paid the $2 for the patrol fund please bring it along.

IMPORTANT UPDATES!!!!!

Good job guys!!! our patrol attendance has been increasing since the start of the term. It is the HIGHEST i have ever seen since i came. Although the attendance rate is VERY VERY GOOD, still i hope you will continue to come for meetings as scouting is very fun. Great jobs guys!! :DDDDD

Though the attendance is good, discipline in this patrol has rooms for improvement. If you think we are harsh on you, please take note we are VERY LENIENT compared to last years. Scouts who have been here since last year should know. So please be more disciplined, have a sense of urgency and know when to play and not to :D

Another thing, regarding the YOG volunteer thing. The YOG people should have sent you an email about the job offer they are offering. Please go to your email and go to the portal. In the email they stated your username and password, which you have to change later on. In case you don't know which email you put, i will type it out:

Ok guys this is the plan for our scout meeting on next Wednesday.

Activities: SS and ASS knotting & Games

Pls Bring your PT Kit 1 for scouts : This includes scout unit T-shirt, PE pants, scout socks and black shoes.

We might be doing first aid if the weather is bad. [ This means no games if it is raining. SORRY! :( ]

So pls remember to bring your scout training manual. ( At least 3 needed)
Lastly, for reminder, pls remember to do your patrol shirt design!
Pls check the patrol blog frequently for more updates regarding scout related activities or stuffs.

Patrol shirt design

Hi again....as all of you should know by now, we are going to have a patrol shirt. (for fun) If you have any great ideas or design, please draw on paper or in your mac and give it to me by 9 July 2010, which is next friday. The scout with the best design shall have a free drink from me :D

So do your design and give it to me before the deadline. We will try to keep the price as low as possible.

2 July activity

hi...tomorrow we shall be going to the army market (located near golden mile complex) to buy your footdrill boots. You will be needing them in the later this year and the rest of your scouting life.

Please bring $30 because beside the footdrill boots, we might also buy other stuff like our patrol first aid stuff and your equipments

Meet at the canteen after you are dismissed.
